Several people detection and tracking methods are studied. It is discovered that the SSD detection with Kalman filtering yield the best results. In this PoC, we have implemented this people counting method by detecting and tracking ourselves walking left and right, as well as up and down. The white line in the video represents the counting line of the experiment. The red bounding box indicates the detection, while the blue bounding box indicates the tracking.
