Four, not seventeen
The United Nations names seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. A company
that claims all seventeen has claimed none of them — the list becomes
decoration. NEUON AI names four, because four are the ones the work actually
touches, and each one can be pointed at a specific project with a specific
partner.
They also line up with Sarawak's own Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030,
which is the plan NEUON's customers are being measured against. A goal that is
good for the UN and irrelevant to Sarawak would help nobody in this office.
Goal 8 · Decent Work & Economic Growth
What the UN means by it. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
The AI industry has been very good at employing Sarawakians somewhere else. NEUON’s answer is to build the work here: engineering, data and domain roles in Kuching, on projects for Sarawak, at a standard that does not require leaving.
NEUTalents is the deliberate part of it — computational intelligence education, including IEEE-partnered STEM workshops, feeding graduates into NEUON, its partners and its second-generation companies. NEUMotion, co-founded with Dr. Abel, is the proof that the model produces companies and not only employees.
What the UN means by it. Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
This is the goal the whole company sits on. Sovereign infrastructure means the intelligence layer for roads, forests, factories and public services is built and owned locally rather than rented from somewhere that has never seen them.
On the industrial side, NEUFactory and FLINKEN take the same engine to the factory floor through an IT/OT ecosystem — local processing at the edge, with AI, energy management and maintenance suites that lower cost and downtime. Innovation itself is governed under ISO 56001 rather than left to enthusiasm.
What the UN means by it. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
A city can only maintain what it can see. RoadPlus has been deployed with JKR Sarawak, CMS Roads and MPP Padawan since 2021, turning road conditions captured by community Road Warriors into defect intelligence and maintenance decisions — the difference between inspecting a road twice a year and knowing about it now.
Greenlight and Traffic Vector work the same ground for congestion and junction safety, and ART TSP engineers signal priority across 27 junctions of Kuching’s Blue Line corridor for Sarawak’s hydrogen-powered transit system.
What the UN means by it. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.
Nothing on this page was done by NEUON alone, and the goal is the honest place to say so. The pattern is the triple helix: government, industry and academia working the same problem — JKR Sarawak and local authorities; CMS Roads, consultants and engineers; UNIMAS and partner universities.
